Digital Technologies

At Southern Cross Primary School, the use of digital technologies is embedded into everyday teaching and learning.

All Junior School students attend a specialist session every week. During these sessions students focus on developing their cyber safety knowledge, their typing/navigating skills and increasing their ability to design websites. Each junior class has access to class sets of Chromebooks, to enhance their learning.

In the Middle and Senior School, students have access to 1-1 devices. Students also attend digital technology sessions once per week. This program ensures students are able to create websites, blog about their experiences, learn how to code and develop online games and websites.

Cyber safety is a key element of our Digital Technologies program and is taught every week, helping students to protect their identities and conduct themselves safely in an online environment.
